The popular North Canterbury Wine and Food Festival has been cancelled this year.
Organisers say it will be back next year.
The festival was due to be held this Sunday ,7 March 2021, at Glenmark Domain in the Waipara Valley.
Event director Jon Holmes says although it’s a tough decision, it’s the right one.
“We’ve taken advice from the relevant agencies and are confident that this decision is the best way to keep people safe.”
“We’re gutted – this was gearing up to be the biggest event yet with a sell-out crowd of 4,500 people.
The good news is the festival will be back in 2022 when, hopefully, the world will be in a much better space,” says Jon.
All tickets will be transferred to the new date – 6 March 2022.
