A residential unit on Dover Street St Albans was destroyed by fire on Tuesday.
Fire and Emergency New Zealand said crews were called to the scene just before 12:40 PM.
Two appliances from the Christchurch City station responded, and upon arrival, one flat was found to be well involved in flames.

“There was significant damage to the property,” a spokesperson said.
A fire investigator has been called in to determine the cause of the blaze.

Police were also present at the scene.
No one was injured.
