A large tree fell onto the rear of a Christchurch Metro bus this afternoon while it was waiting at the Rapaki bus stop on Governors Bay Road near Lyttelton.
The incident occurred around 2:20pm, as the bus was parked ahead of a scheduled school pick-up.
Firefighters from the Lyttelton Volunteer Fire Brigade responded to a report that a tree had fallen onto a bus at a bus stop in Governors Bay, a fire and emergency spokesperson told Chris Lynch Media.
It was reported to Fire and Emergency that all persons were accounted for.
