Three injured, one seriously, after crash on Christchurch-Akaroa Road

Three people have been injured, one seriously, after a crash on the Christchurch Akaroa Road this afternoon.

A police spokeswoman told chrislynchmedia.com police were notified at 2.25pm that a car had collided with a power pole on State Highway 75, between Macartneys Road and Ahuriri Road.

The crash brought down the pole and power lines across one lane of the road.

A St John spokeswoman said two ambulances, a rapid response unit and an operations manager responded.

Ambulance crews treated and transported three patients to Christchurch Hospital, one in a serious condition and two in a moderate condition.

Traffic management remains in place, with diversions at Duck Pond Road and Lincoln Taitapu Road.
