There’s been a two-car crash near Kaiapoi tonight.

A police spokeswoman said the crash happened about 5:30pm on State Highway One, just south of Williams Street.

At least two people were injured.

The road remained open and a tow truck was required for one of the cars.

There are minor injuries.
