Canterbury police are continuing to investigate the sudden death of a man, as first reported by Chris Lynch Media, at a house on Eastern Terrace, early Saturday morning.

Detective Senior Sergeant Daniel Overend said the circumstances of the man’s death remained unclear, and police were working to piece together what happened in the lead-up to the incident.

“We are committed to establishing the full circumstances surrounding this man’s death,” Overend said.

“This is a perplexing case, and we are keeping an open mind as we work through a number of inquiries.”

Police were focusing on tracing the man’s movements over the past two weeks and were appealing to anyone who may have seen or spoken with him to come forward.

As part of the investigation, officers were conducting an area canvas of the Eastern Terrace neighbourhood to locate potential witnesses or anyone who may have interacted with the deceased recently.

Anyone with information that could assist was asked to contact Police on 105 or anonymously through Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111, quoting file number 251004/7850.
