A fire investigator has been called to the scene of a shed fire in Waltham.

Emergency services were called to Goldsmith Place just before 4pm after receiving multiple reports of a shed fire at a residential property.

Fire and Emergency shift manager Lynn Crosson told ChrisLynchMedia.com they were concerned about how strong the fire was and how close it was to neighbouring properties.

Two additional appliances from Christchurch City Station were called to the scene.

One neighbouring property suffered fire damage to its roof.

The fire investigator is expected to return to the scene tomorrow to determine the cause of the blaze.
