The family of Ryan Becker has thanked the public for their support while he was missing.

Ryan had been missing since 1pm Friday and was last seen on Devine Drive, Templeton.

A family member told chrislynchmedia.com that Ryan was found in central Christchurch by police around 3am on Sunday.

“He was found unconscious and was taken to Christchurch Hospital where he was placed into a medically-induced coma and is on life support,” the family member said.

Ryan is 33 “but has an intellectual level of about a 7-year-old”, they said.

“We’d like to thank everyone for the many messages of support and a big thank you to family, friends and the public for all the help with searching for Ryan over the last few days,” the family member said.
