The family of a missing Christchurch man has “grave concerns” for his safety.

Ryan Becker has been missing since 1pm Friday and was last seen on Devine Drive, Templeton.

A family member has told Chris Lynch Media that he is “still missing [and we have] grave concerns for him”.

The family member said Ryan is 33 years old around 5 foot 7 “but has an intellectual level of about a 7 year old”.

“[He] lives in supported living with 24 hour, one-on-one care. Ryan received a serious head injury from an accident that’s left him with brain damage along with an uncontrollable seizure disorder that can become life threatening and it has on more than one occasion. He’s very vulnerable and likely to be disoriented,” they said.

“Family are very concerned and if any one comes across him please phone police.”

The family member said, “He’s now missed three does of medication, hydration and food which is not a good combination for his condition on top of last night’s weather,” they said.

Canterbury Police have put out another post on their Facebook page saying they “continue to appeal for information on missing Ryan”.

Police said he was wearing a camo hoodie and shorts and is possibly nearby in the Templeton, Hornby or Rolleston areas.

“Ryan has a medical condition and police and his family have serious concerns for his welfare,” police said.
If you see him please call police immediately on 111 and reference event number P058834626.
