Rolleston Police appeal for information following recent burglaries

Rolleston Police are seeking information regarding a series of burglaries reported from residential addresses in recent weeks.

Senior Sergeant Rachel Walker, Area Response Manager for Canterbury Rural South, said three incidents have been reported since 1 January.

Items stolen include a number of military medals, such as a Pacific Star medal, distinctive jewellery, and a go-kart.

Police are asking for any information that could help reunite these items with their rightful owners.

“If you have any information that could assist our enquiries and have not yet spoken to Police, please contact us online or call 105, quoting reference number 250123/2449,” Walker said.

Information can also be provided anonymously via Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111.

Police are also reminding residents to take precautions to secure their homes if they are going away this summer.

“Lock all doors and windows, ask a neighbour to check your home, and consider investing in an alarm system and sensor lights,” Walker said.

She also suggested arranging for a trusted person to clear mail and other deliveries.
