A serious crash has closed Charles Upham Drive in Rangiora this morning.

Police said they received a report of a single-vehicle crash near Oxford Road just after 7am.

Initial reports suggested there were serious injuries.

The Serious Crash Unit has been advised and is expected to investigate.

Motorists have been asked to avoid the area and expect delays while emergency services respond.
