The search for 79-year-old Elisabeth, who went missing from Riccarton last week, has resumed today with police urging residents to continue checking their properties.
Search efforts were paused yesterday due to poor weather, but have now restarted in the Fendalton and Riccarton areas. Police Search and Rescue teams, along with Land Search and Rescue volunteers, are on the ground.
A police spokesperson said “Elisabeth’s loved ones are feeling increasingly concerned for her, and Police are still urging anyone with any information, no matter how small, to come forward.”
Residents in the area may notice an increased police presence.
“We are also asking anyone who has not yet checked their garages, sheds, or outbuildings to please do so. Even a small sign of disturbance could be important.”
Elisabeth has now been missing for several days, and police said any information could help bring her home.
