A police operation is underway in the Christchurch suburb of Parklands.
A police spokesperson told chrislynchmedia.com “One person has been taken into custody following an incident on Lamorna Road this evening.
“Emergency services were called after reports a person had sustained critical injuries at 7.50PM.”
“Police are working to establish exactly what has taken place and at this stage there is no further information available.”
“While Lamorna Road residents will see an ongoing police presence in the area overnight as we continue our enquiries, we want to reassure them there is no risk to the wider community.”

No buses are currently running through Queenspark Drive due to the police cordon.
Another neighbour, who’s inside the primary police cordon was told by police to stay inside because her neighbour’s property was now a “crime scene.”
