Police are investigating a robbery at a commercial premises on Stanmore Road.

A significant police presence was seen between Avalon Street and North Avon Road following the incident.

It’s understood a dairy was targeted.

A police spokesperson said officers were called at around 11.50am after receiving a report of a robbery.

The offenders had left the scene before police arrived and it is not yet known what was taken.

Police confirmed enquiries are underway to identify and locate those responsible.

A witness who lives nearby told Chris Lynch Media they saw a large number of officers near the Sideline Sports Bar and the dairy.

“I just drove down there and saw heaps of police taking photos.”
