Christchurch Police are appealing for information after a man was charged with attempted kidnapping following an incident in Sydenham, earlier this month.
Detective James Bourne said the incident occurred around 3pm on Thursday, 2 January, when a man approached a person on the northern end of Tennyson Street and allegedly attempted to pull them into a vehicle.
The suspect was arrested on Friday, 10 January, and has been charged with attempted kidnapping. He is scheduled to appear in the Christchurch District Court on Thursday, 16 January.
“As part of our ongoing enquiries, we are keen to hear from anyone who was in the Tennyson Street area between 2:50pm and 3:10pm on the day of the incident,” Detective Bourne said.
