Police are asking the public to help find a woman who hasn’t been seen since for more than five months.
The last confirmed sighting of Rowena Walker was on Bassett Street in Christchurch on 14 August, police said.
The 39 year old was reported missing by concerned family members on 22 October 2025, with investigators continuing to explore multiple avenues to locate her.

Detective Senior Sergeant Jo Carolan said “In our efforts to locate Rowena, we have searched a number of areas in the Waikato, Tasman, and Canterbury districts.”

Walker has not been in contact with her children, and her family were worried for her safety.
Police thanked members of the public who had already provided information and said further assistance could be crucial.
“Information no matter how small is crucial in our search, and we encourage anyone with information that could assist us to please get in touch,” Carolan said.
