Judges were particularly impressed by the clarity of BodyFix’s purpose and how its values are embedded across the organisation.

“BodyFix carries a clear mission to make a difference in people’s lives,” the judging panel said. “They have seven defined values with specific behaviours, and these are strongly embedded into hiring, coaching, recognition, and leadership.”

That values led approach extends beyond the gym floor, with judges praising BodyFix’s commitment to giving back to the wider community.

“Community giving adds credibility,” judges said.

The gym’s modern approach also received strong praise, particularly its use of digital tools and innovation to improve member support and service delivery. Judges said the facility demonstrated forward thinking use of technology to enhance the overall member experience.

BodyFix’s performance metrics also impressed the panel, with judges noting the gym met all benchmarks within its first 90 days. Campaigns designed to re engage inactive and past members were described as a key strength.

“Great campaigns for reactivation,” judges said.

Leadership was identified as another defining feature, with the panel pointing to strong staff retention and a stable team culture built over time.

“Values based leadership was evident and supported by long term staff retention,” judges said.

The family of owner Moana Williams shared their pride with chrislynchmedia.com, describing BodyFix as a small family gym tucked away on Leeds Street that was built through years of love, passion, sacrifice, and hard work.

They said the gym’s success reflected the support of its gym family, friends, and wider community, forged through years of commitment, sweat, and perseverance.
