A person has been seriously injured in a fire in a tiny home fire Dunsandel.

Emergency crews were called to Karanga Road just after 6AM on Sunday.

A Fire and Emergency spokesperspon told chrislynchmedia.com crews from Hororata and Dunsandel fire stations attended the scene.

The fire was about 3 metres by 8 metres, the size of a container, and was quickly extinguished by crews.

A St John spokeswoman said a person was transported to Christchurch Hospital, by ambulance in a serious condition.
