A vehicle has crashed into a tree this evening, leaving one person in a critical condition and another with minor injuries.

A police spokesperson told Chris Lynch Media police were notified of the crash just after 7pm.

The crash happened at the intersection of Johns Road and Sawyers Arms Road.

Chris Lynch Media understands the crash was possibly the result of a medical incident.

Several Fire and Emergency crews attended the scene.

One lane on Johns Road was closed, and the Serious Crash Unit was notified.
