A person has been arrested after a vehicle crashed into a power pole and flipped upside down in east Christchurch.
Police said they were called to Pages Road just before 8pm on Tuesday after reports of a single vehicle crash and a damaged power pole.
No injuries were reported, but the road was temporarily closed while emergency services responded.
A person was seen running from the scene following the crash. A police dog unit was deployed and tracked the person, who was taken into custody a short time later.
Police said enquiries were continuing.
