A paraglider was seriously injured in a crash on the Port Hills yesterday.

Police were advised at 10.35am Sunday that the paraglider had crashed on Summit Road.

A St John spokesperson told Chris Lynch Media that they responded with one ambulance and one rapid response vehicle.

“One patient was assessed at the scene and transported to Christchurch Hospital in a serious condition,” the spokesperson said.
