Lotto NZ has revealed that Pak N Save Moorhouse in Christchurch has sold one of the three winning tickets in the record fifty five million dollar Must Be Won Powerball draw.
The draw has created three new multi millionaires after the winners matched all six Lotto numbers and the correct Powerball number, each receiving an eighteen point three million dollar share of the historic jackpot.
Each total prize is eighteen million three hundred and eighty eight thousand eight hundred and eighty nine dollars, made up of eighteen million three hundred and thirty three thousand three hundred and thirty three dollars from Powerball First Division and fifty five thousand five hundred and fifty six dollars from Lotto First Division.
Alongside Pak N Save Moorhouse, the other winning tickets were sold at New World Kawerau in Kawerau and on MyLotto to a player in Auckland.
Fifteen players have also won fifty five thousand five hundred and fifty six dollars each in Lotto First Division. The winning tickets were sold at Four Square Coopers Beach in Coopers Beach, three MyLotto tickets in Auckland, Rathgar Road Discount Foodmart in Auckland, Rockys Superette in Auckland, Pak N Save Thames in Thames, Fresh Choice Ngaruawahia in Ngaruawahia, Nourish Pantry in Hamilton, Pak N Save Napier City in Napier, Pak N Save Tamatea in Napier, MyLotto in Palmerston North, MyLotto in Rangitikei, Fresh Choice Geraldine in Geraldine and Fresh Choice Roxburgh in Roxburgh.
A further sixty two players have won sixteen thousand nine hundred and nine dollars each in Lotto Second Division, with ten also winning Powerball Second Division to take their total to twenty four thousand nine hundred and sixteen dollars.
Second Division winners bought their tickets at stores across the country including multiple Auckland outlets, Waikato, Tauranga, Rotorua, Taupo, Taranaki, Hawkes Bay, Horowhenua, Whanganui, Kapiti Coast, Wellington, Tasman, Nelson, Canterbury and Southland. Christchurch winners include tickets sold at Hornby Mall Lotto, Woolworths Hornby and Pak N Save Moorhouse, as well as MyLotto purchases within Canterbury.
Lotto NZ is urging anyone who bought a ticket from any of the listed stores or through MyLotto to check it as soon as possible in store, online or through the MyLotto app.
