There’s been a mass shooting at a gay club in Colorado Springs. Five people are dead and 18 injured.

A Colorado Springs police spokeswoman said emergency services received a call at 11.57PM that there was an active shooting at a local club known as Club Q.

“Numerous officers and medical immediately responded to the area and officers immediately made entry.

They located one individual who they believe to be the suspect inside.

“At this point in time, the investigation is in the very initial stages, but I can tell you that we have 18 injured and five deceased. That number is subject to change as the investigation continues.

“We had numerous people transported to multiple local hospitals via ambulance and police cruisers. The hospitals are helping us to notify family of the injured.”

The FBI is also investigating.

In a statement on Facebook ClubQ said it devastated by the senseless attack on our community.

We thank the quick reactions of heroic customers that subdued the gunman and ended this hate attack.”
