A man has been arrested following a firearm incident in Phillpstown.
A police spokesman told Chris Lynch Media they received a report of a disorder between people known to each other on Harrow Street at 11.15pm.
A 29-year-old man was arrested and charged with unlawfully possessing a firearm, unlawfully possessing a firearm in a public place, and fail to comply with conditions of protection order – possess weapon.
The man is due to appear in Christchurch District Court on Monday the spokesman said
