Between July and October, police received multiple reports of burglaries, which they believed to be linked to the same offender.
The incidents involved break-ins at homes that were temporarily unoccupied, often while the residents were away on holiday.
The man faces five charges of burglary, with further enquiries underway to determine if he is linked to additional offences.
Police are urging residents to secure their homes when leaving them unattended for extended periods, as burglars tend to act opportunistically.
They advised that installing alarms can deter burglars looking for easy access. Additionally, securing windows and doors, using security signage, CCTV, alarms, and sensor lights can enhance home security.
Authorities also warned against sharing too much information on social media about travel plans or posting photos of home interiors, as this could make properties more vulnerable while residents are away.
Residents are encouraged to maintain communication with their neighbours and report any unusual activity immediately by calling 111.
