Fire and Emergency crews were called to a house fire in Linwood this morning.

A spokesman said they received a call at 10.15AM to the property on Stanmore Road.

Two fire appliances from Christchurch Central Station attended.

The fire was contained to the roof of the house.

A Fire Investigator has been sent to the scene but there’s nothing at this stage to suggest the fire is suspicious.

No one was inside the house at the time of the blaze.
