They were called to a property on Grassmere Street shortly before 6PM.

Fire trucks from the Redwood and Ilam stations are attending the scene.
Emergency services received multiple calls about the blaze, and police have also been called to assist.

A nearby resident said it appeared the house was completely destroyed by the fire.
The road has been blocked off by Fire and Emergency and crews use two hoses to tackle the fire.
