A fiery crash in Bromley has left one person in a critical condition.

The two vehicle collision happened at the intersection of Linwood Avenue and Dyers Road at around eleven fifty last night.

Police said one person received critical injuries and another received moderate injuries.

St John said two ambulances, two rapid response units and one manager responded to the scene. Crews assessed and treated two patients, one in a critical condition and one in a moderate condition, before transporting them to Christchurch Hospital.

The road was blocked while enquiries were carried out.
