Emergency services respond to Merivale crash

Emergency services are currently responding to a crash involving a moving vehicle and a parked vehicle at the intersection of Office Road and Rossall Street in Merivale.

The incident occurred at approximately 11:30am this morning.

Three patients, all in moderate condition, have been transported to Christchurch Hospital, a St John spokesperson told Chris Lynch Media.

Rossall Street has been cordoned off between Office Road and Rugby Street, with one lane blocked while emergency crews work at the scene.

Two fire engines and multiple ambulances are in attendance.

St John was notified of a motor vehicle incident  at 11:31 today. Two ambulances and one operations manager attended.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible, as delays are expected while the scene is cleared.
