Diwali Indian Festival of Lights returns to North Hagley Park on Saturday after being cancelled last year because of Covid restrictions.

This year, organisers say the festival will be bigger and better than previous years.

They’ll be plenty of food stalls.

The festival starts at 2pm, with performers taking to the stage after 5pm.

The night finishes with a huge display of fireworks, around 9.30PM.

The event is free and is produced by the Indian Social and Cultural Club (ISCC) of Christchurch.

The festival is proudly supported by Chris Lynch
