A cyclist has been taken to hospital after an incident in Parklands this morning.

A police spokesperson said they responded to a collision involving a vehicle and a cyclist at the intersection of Queenspark Drive and Inwoods Road at 8:15am.

St John responded with one ambulance and one rapid response vehicle.

A St John spokesperson said the patient is in a moderate condition and was taken to Christchurch Hospital.

Police said the roads are not blocked.
