Christchurch police working to identify new areas in search for missing woman

Christchurch police are continuing their investigation into a missing elderly woman who has now been missing for five days.

Elisabeth, aged 79, was last seen around 6pm on Wednesday 4 June in Riccarton.

She left Margaret Stoddart Retirement Village on Bartlett Street and has not been seen since.

A police spokesperson told chrislynchmedia.com on Monday afternoon, “Our investigation continues, and at this stage we are working to establish any new areas of interest.

“Police have since confirmed the sighting in Mona Vale was not Elisabeth. However, we continue to urge all members of the public to contact police if they have any information regarding her whereabouts, no matter how small it may seem.

“Police assess all possible lines of enquiry provided by information from members of the public.”
