Christchurch’s Hotel Elms has been recognised among the top performing properties in the Asia Pacific region after winning a Gold Award from Choice Hotels International Awards.

The Papanui Road hotel was one of 31 properties across the Asia Pacific to receive the award, which recognises hotels delivering outstanding guest experiences and high operational standards across the Choice Hotels network.

Choice Hotels Asia Pacific Chief Executive Trent Fraser said the awards recognise franchisees who consistently deliver exceptional service.

Award winners were determined using a range of performance measures including guest satisfaction, service quality, sustainability initiatives and operational performance.

The hotel is located on Papanui Road, a short distance from Christchurch’s central city and international airport. The four star property features a range of accommodation options including executive suites and a luxury apartment.

Hotel Elms also offers conference and event facilities for up to 150 delegates, along with its on site Fig Restaurant and Bar, which serves breakfast through to dinner and features an outdoor beer garden style bar.
