A car has smashed into a Hoon Hay property this morning, injuring the driver.

A police spokeswoman said police were advised that a car had collided with a house at the intersection of Hendersons Road and Halswell Road at 8.15am.

The driver was reported to have moderate injuries and was transported to hospital to be checked over.

A St John spokesman said one ambulance attended the scene.
