A man has been arrested outside Burger King in Linwood this evening after being involved in a fight.

A police spokeswoman said police were called to Linwood Avenue about 5.20pm following reports of disorder.

She said there was a physical altercation involving several “men” one of whom had been injured.

One person was taken into custody.

A St John Ambulance spokesman said one patient was taken to Christchurch Hospital by ambulance in a moderate condition.
