Police have launched a homicide investigation after a woman was found deceased at a Burnham property early this morning.

Emergency services were called to an address on Burnham School Road at approximately 3.05am following a report of disorder.

Upon arrival, Police located the body of a woman at the property.

Detective Senior Sergeant Karen Simmons said one person has been arrested and is assisting Police with their enquiries.

Cordons have been put in place and a scene examination is underway at the address.

Police say further updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.
