An aggravated robbery has taken police at a Christchurch restaurant this morning.
Police were alerted at 11:20 am Thursday to a robbery at Armadillo’s restaurant on Main South Road in Islington.
A police spokeswoman said a man entered the premises and presented a firearm to a staff member, ordering them to empty the till of cash.
There were no injuries and the man then left in a vehicle.
Police are in the area making initial inquiries.
No description of the offender was provided by police.
It follows the armed robbery at Armadillo’s restaurant in Halswell on the 26th of September at the same time.
