Police are at the scene of a firearms incident on Bower Ave, North New Brighton.

A police spokeswoman said the incident occurred about 3:25pm.

One person was located at the scene with non-life threatening injuries.

Enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing

there have been no arrests at this stage.

Police at the scene are armed but the AOS is not in attendance.

It’s understood the incident happened on the footpath.
