The family of a 13-year-old boy is pleading with the Christchurch public to help find him.

Alex went missing from Breens Intermediate today, his mother said on a Facebook post.

Kathryn Carter said “Alex has been missing since 11.30am and we have been looking for him ever since.

We need anyone in the Bishopdale, Harewood, Papanui area to let the police know if they saw him walking around midday and call 111 immediately with any information.”

Kathryn is asking people to look around their properties for any sign of Alex.

Alex is wearing a Breens Intermediate Uniform – dark navy jumper, blue polo, grey knee-length shorts and grey knee length socks.

Breens Intermediate School also released a statement.

“Dear Breens whānau. Young Alex has been missing from school today and his family and the school community have been looking for him since then”
