Fire and Emergency crews were called to a house fire at Birdlings Flat this evening.

The fire was reported just after 7PM.

A spokesperson said when the first fire appliance arrived, the house was fully involved.

Five appliances along with support vehicles attended the blaze.

The spokesperson said the incident highlighted the speed of the fire and the importance of having working smoke alarms and an escape plan.

No one was injured in the blaze.

A fire investigator will return to the scene on Wednesday morning.
