Te Papa closed yesterday after a Covid-19 positive tourist from Australia visited while they were possibly contagious according to the Ministry of Health.

She posted on the school’s Facebook page saying that 18 schools were assembled at the mihi whakatau.

“We have arranged for the pandemic trained cleaning team to come in and sanitise the specific areas the delegation used yesterday.”

“We have alerted staff about the protocols we are expected to use at this time and will ensure all ākonga are reminded to sanitise hands and avoid close contact over the next few days.”

“We will now await the National Updates as they come from the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Health.”

“Try not to worry and please don’t panic. We have good protocols in place.”
