Emergency services are at the scene of a serious crash in Kaiapoi.

A police spokesperson said they’re at a two-vehicle crash on Main North Road, reported around 2.25pm.

Chris Lynch Media understands one of the vehicles was on its roof.

A St John spokesman said three ambulances and an operations manager attended the crash.

Three patients, all in a moderate condition, were being transported to Christchurch Hospital.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area and expect delays.
