Emergency services are at the scene of a crash involving a bus and a car in Merivale.

A police spokesman said the incident was reported to police around 1:47pm this afternoon.

It appears to a collision between a bus and a car near the corner of Holmwood Road and Rossall Street the spokesman said.

“Emergency services staff are currently responding to the incident.

Road users are advised to take alternative routes and avoid the area until the scene is cleared.”

A St John spokesman said they responded with one ambulance and one rapid response vehicle, but no hospital transportation was required.
