One person has been found dead, following a house bus fire in Westland this morning.

Emergency services were called to the Blue Spur property about 4am.

A police spokesperson said one person made it out of the house bus unharmed, however sadly a second person was located deceased.

Police will assist Fire and Emergency NZ in determining the circumstances of the fire.
