Emergency services were called to a crash on Hills Road in Shirley this afternoon.

A police spokeswoman said they received a report of a two car crash at around 3:40pm.

Fire and Emergency and St John were alerted to the crash.

A St John Ambulance spokeswoman said two ambulances and one manager responded to the scene.

Two people were treated and transported to Christchurch Hospital – one in a moderate and one in a minor condition.
