Christchurch’s 24 Hour Surgery reached capacity on Tuesday night and was temporarily unable to accept new patients.

The facility posted the update on Facebook about 9pm, advising people with emergencies to call 111 or go to the Emergency Department at Christchurch Hospital.

Those with non urgent concerns were being advised to call Healthline on 0800 611 116.

The 24 Hour Surgery said it would update its Facebook page when it was able to accept new patients again.
