A person is in a serious condition following an alleged assault outside Woolworths Church Corner tonight.
Emergency services descended on the corner of Riccarton Road and Hansons Lane about 8.40PM.
A police spokesperson told Chris Lynch Media officers responded to reports of a group of people fighting with one person reportedly injured.

A St John spokesperson said crews attended the scene with an ambulance, a rapid response unit, and an operations manager.
One person was taken to hospital in a serious condition.
A large Police presence remains on both Riccarton Road and Hansons Lane.
