A man has been taken into custody following an assault in Addington.

Senior Sergeant Steph McDaniel said police were called to an address on Ruskin Street at around 3:30pm following reports of the assault.

One person sustained moderate injuries.

Just before 6pm, the alleged offender was located and taken into custody, with the assistance of the Police Negotiation Team.
