Riccarton aggravated burglary linked to Facebook Marketplace deal

Christchurch police are investigating an aggravated burglary linked to a Facebook Marketplace transaction.

A police spokesperson told chrislynchmedia.com police were called to Riccarton about 8.45pm on Saturday following a report of an aggravated burglary.

During the incident, two people who had arranged an online transaction were allegedly threatened with a vehicle, the spokesperson said.

One person suffered a minor injury.

The alleged offender left the area in a vehicle.

Multiple police units including a dog handler tried to locate the offender, to no avail.

Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact police on 105, quoting event number P065829488.
