A meeting involving senior members of a New Zealand church has taken place in Christchurch after serious concerns were raised by members of the organisation.

Chris Lynch Media understands members of the congregation raised concerns, prompting a meeting on Friday, where the leader was confronted.

Several sources described the meeting as highly emotional, with those in attendance expressing distress.

“Everyone was crying, everyone was angry,” one source said.

Chris Lynch Media has received information from a number of sources, but has chosen not to name the church at this stage.
